HOW TO APPLY

STEP 1

Pick a dance according to your age group from the official video playlist provided by BallroomBees below

STEP 2

Record a short video (1–2 minutes): Introduce yourself and tell us why you should win the scholarship and why you love to dance. Record the video of yourself performing the dance. Just have fun, be creative, and show us your unique style!

STEP 3

Fill in the application form below and submit your video following the instructions on the form.

Important Notes:

  • Open to children aged 3–10 (boys and girls)

  • Open to existing BallroomBees students AND newcomers

  • No prior dance experience required

  • There is no "right" or "wrong" performance. We're looking for personality, joy, and creativity.

Submissions will be carefully reviewed, and finalists will be selected based on their energy, expression, and connection to the BallroomBees spirit.

*Selected winners will receive a certificate plaque, with the award presentation taking place at the BallroomBees Ball on December 6th.

1. How many winners will be selected? 4 winners – 2 boys and 2 girls will each receive the scholarship. 2. What does each winner receive? A full year of dance tuition with BallroomBees, valued at HKD 20,000, PLUS a commemorative plaque and official certificate presented on stage at the BallroomBees Ball. 3. What is the age range? The scholarship is open to children aged 3 to 10 years old. 4. When and where is the scholarship presented? The scholarship will be presented on stage at the BallroomBees Ball on December 6, 2026 at Island Shangri-La. Over 300 young dancers and 600 parents will be in attendance. 5. When do applications open and close? Applications open on September 4, 2026 and close on October 24, 2026. 6. Does my child need to be a BallroomBees student to apply? No! This scholarship is open to all children, whether they are currently enrolled or completely new to dance. 7. What if my child has never danced before? That's perfectly fine. We're looking for enthusiasm, creativity, and joy—not technical perfection. 8. What dance style should we choose? Any style! Browse our YouTube channel and pick a dance that inspires your child. 9. How long should the video be? We recommend keeping it to 1–2 minutes. Just enough to show your child's personality and creativity. 10. Is the HKD 20,000 given as cash? No. The HKD 20,000 covers a full year of dance tuition with BallroomBees – a significant investment in your child's dance education. 11. Is there an application fee? No, applying is completely free.
