Katya Virshilas
Founder & CEO
A former National Ballroom Champion, Katya was a professional dancer on the BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing and choreographer on So You Think You Can Dance.
Katya was part of the cast of BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing (Dancing With The Stars) and after this produced and starred in her own tour production performing in over 80 theatres across The UK.
A mother of 2 boys, Katya conceived the idea for BallroomBees while looking for dance classes for her sons.
Angelique Alison
Teacher
Angelique is a Professional Latin American, Show Dance and Exhibition Dancer, and the undefeated All South African Open Professional Latin American Champion
Angelique started dancing at the age of 4 and has had a burning passion for dance ever since.
After finishing her studies at the Performing Arts School in South Africa, she earned the title of All South African Open Latin Champion and joined "Dancing With The Stars" SA as a professional dancer.
Ryan Hammond

Ryan is a Latin American and Ballroom dancer, and the Winner of 'Strictly Come Dancing' SA
Ryan was born into a dancing family and started dancing at the age of 7. He is a qualified Ballroom dancer, IDTA Latin American instructor and adjudicator and has been competing and performing around the world.
He has choreographed various theatre shows, music videos and trained championship dancers, as well as being the head dance coach at one of the biggest universities in South Africa.

Anca brings a wealth of experience as a dancer, personal trainer, and fitness coach.

Painey Pui Lam Lai

Majoring Chinese Dance and minoring in Choreography in The Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts
She is a dancer who starts practicing Chinese dance since 4 years old and finished the Beijing Dance Academy Chinese Dance Graded 11 Exam.
She also experienced in teaching various dance style like Chinese dance, contemporary dance, ballet, hip hop and so on for 6 years. She got her 200 hrs RYS yoga teacher certification in Rishikesh, India.

Andrea is a professional dancer and teacher from Italy. He started dancing when he was 7years old and started with Latin American Couple Dances.
Initially it was just thoughtless fun but over time his feelings changed and he began to develop an ever deeper passion that led him to make it his job. He participated in a television program on the national channel in prime time, did lots of shows and exhibitions and participated at several competitions achieving great results.

Shreya was born and raised in India, Mumbai and have been living in Hong Kong for the past 13 years with her husband and two kids.
Shreya Parikh is an experienced early childhood educator with a passion for making learning fun. She has taught children of all ages, including special needs students, and has a particular fondness for kindergarten. Alongside her dedication to teaching, Shreya finds immense joy and stress relief in the art of dance. Joining the Ballroombees community, she looks forward to sharing her love for early education and the transformative power of dance.

Ally is a passionate dancer who started her training at the age of 4.
Her dedication to dance led her to complete the Beijing Dance Academy Chinese dance exam, achieving grade 12. With over 100 show experiences under her belt, Ally is a seasoned performer.

Profesional Latin American Dancer, World, European and Czech Latin Championship Finalist.
Jana is a dancer from the Czech Republic, she started to dance when she was 5 years old. She danced ballroom and latin competitions all around the world and she is still activly competing in Latin American dances.
Caroline Clausen

Caroline is a professional Ballroom Dancer and has been competing on the international Ballroom circuit since the age of 9. She is an undefeated Danish Champion, North European Champion, and still active in her career.
Caroline started dancing at the age of 3 and has been introduced early on to music, movement and fun. She is born in Denmark in a family of 8 and has had experience with children from her years of working in a kindergarten. She also teaches professional dancers worldwide while still competing at the highest possible level in Professional Ballroom with her partner Davide morelli.

Arah Owh

Arah is a passionate dancer specializing in hip hop, jazz funk, and contemporary styles. Alongside her impressive dance skills, she co-founded an arts organization at Hong Kong University
Arah is currently a member of the renowned AYO crew, which achieved second place in the World of Dance Hong Kong competition. She has also showcased her talent as a backup dancer for King Maker V and the Miss Hong Kong 2023 pageant.
Utilizing her extensive experience, Arah has taken on the role of a dance instructor in various studios, teaching dance and providing individual classes. Through her teaching, she finds joy in sharing her love for dance, inspiring others to embrace the power of movement and self-expression.

Tansy is a Ballroom and Latin dancer who represents the Hong Kong Dancesport team.
Tansy is a professional ballroom and Latin dancer. She is a graduate of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, and a member of Hong Kong Dancesport Squad.
Tansy has extensive stage experience, performing on TV, HK Coliseum and concerts. She participated in numerous international competitions representing Hong Kong.
Raymond

Raymond is a Ballroom and Latin dancer, and a member of Hong Kong Dancesport team from the age of 15.
Raymond is a prominent members of the Hong Kong Dancesport, excelling in both Ballroom and Latin disciplines. At the age of 17 Raymond he won the 10-dance championship in both Ballroom and Latin, and has proudly represented Hong Kong in international dance competitions.
Raymond is passionate about teaching, and has been working with students of different levels and ages.
